I'm going to rely on you all to supply me with 29 days' worth of phrases that I can learn while I'm in Oz. I'll post pics of my progress, including photos of me trying to write Arabic huruf (which you can all have a good laugh at!)
Considering I had set all of you 30-day challenges during the summer holiday, I thought I may as well challenge myself also. I was struggling to come up with a decent challenge, when Dana and Maria suggested I learn Arabic. This may seem like an odd challenge as I'm leaving the Gulf in a week's time, but I thought it was a good idea considering the fact that my Arabic is limited to a few choice (and very poorly pronounced!) phrases. So, for the next 30 days I will endeavour to learn one Arabic phrase a day. And hopefully this challenge will continue long after the 30 days is up. Here is phrase number one:
